Conclusion
Even tho the Sydney Olympics differ extremely from the ancient Olympics, there is a few key similarities that hold them together. In both Olympics, winners are rewarded with a fabulous prizes and glory; however, the modern Olympics reward medals instead of olive branches. For my secondary research I went out and got my other and print resource first, so I wouldn't have to get them last minuet. Although from my online sources, I found a few right away and I've been getting more when the time comes. Whereas my primary research came from an interview with James Tomkins who is a member of the International Olympic Committee(IOC). I choose this question because I wanted to know more about the Olympics and I was interested in learning more about Ancient Greece and sport in general, mostly swimming. It is obvious that the Ancient Olympics are vastly different from the Sydney Olympics; however, there are some similarities that the Sydney games keep, so they stay true to the Ancient games.
